A £1 million pound development will boost the number of boats able to moor at Tewkesbury Marina from 350 to more than 400.
It will also increase the types and sizes of craft that can be cater for and offer them year round safety.
The main part of the project has been the construction of The Quarter, which provides 70 floating moorings for a quarter of a mile on both sides of the Avon.
One of the existing basins is also being updated to provide 120 moorings, using the latest floating pontoon technology.
The work is being carried out by Walcon, which has worked with the marina for more than 40 years and carried out similar projects in Dubai and Cowes.
Spokesman James Walters said: "The installation has proved very successful and we are suitably proud of the result."
Marina general manager Peter Hogsden said: "Boats are a large investment and can be left unattended for long periods, so secure moorings are essential. A berth here can keep insurance premiums to the minimum, as well as giving our customers peace of mind."
Managing director Mark Cotterell said: "It's great credit to the designers that such an impressive marina, so close to the town, can blend in so well with the surrounding area while providing a significant boost to the economy of the town."
Tewkesbury Marina covers both the Severn and the Avon, allowing three directions of sailing - up the Avon to Stratford and then further access to the canal system, through the lock to the Severn or up as far as Stourport with access to the canal system from there.
