ANYONE in Tewkesbury who would love a career in caring, but is worried that they do not have any qualifications, is being offered a helping hand.
Gloscat is running two short courses, Learning to Care and Play with Children.
They will be free to anyone who does not already have a qualification, is unemployed or looking to return to work at the age of 50 or over.
They will provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to work with children or in a care home, or help those with learning difficulties.
The Learning to Care course will be held in the Elmbury Room at Tewkesbury Library on Tuesdays, from 10am to noon, starting on February 27. The childcare course will be held at Ashchurch Primary School on Tuesdays from 10-noon, starting on April 24.
Further information on both courses is available from the Adult and Community Learning Department at Gloscat on 01242 532050 or e-mail sarah.hooper @gloscat.ac.uk
