55 jobs to go as firm closes

ANOTHER Tewkesbury company has announced it is closing with the loss of 55 jobs.

Just three weeks ago Wincanton Distribution said that it was closing its Tewkesbury depot with the possible loss of 360 jobs.

Now HL Ravenscroft Plastics is to close it Green Lane premises in June.

The company has decided to fight rising costs by consolidating all its operations at a purpose built factory at Denby in Derbyshire.

All workers are being offered the chance to keep their jobs by re-locating to the new site.

In June 2005 Ravenscroft Plastics, which was founded by Ted Ravenscroft went into receivership and was bought by HL Plastics, becoming known at HL Ravenscroft.
