PRIORS Park residents are going around the world without leaving Tewkesbury and learning about healthy eating as they go.
They are taking part in a healthy eating course, organised by the Priors Park Neighbourhood Project in connection Gloucestershire College.
Tutor Erica Rowe explained that they had spent the first half of the course researching food from around the world - linked to healthy eating.
For the second half they have moved to the Watson Hall, where they are trying out the recipes they found.
This week they were cooking Caribbean food - including a Creole Fish and banana biscuits.
Paula Wyles goes to many of the courses organised by the college.
She said that although she was an experienced cook she had found the computer side of the course a real help.
"I had never really used a computer before and I really enjoyed researching the recipes," she said.
Activities co-ordinator Carol Batsford said that it was just one of a series of courses being organised in Priors Park - "We are going to be doing holistic therapies next," she promised.
