ANYONE who thinks they may have been a potential victim of a mail based scam is asked to drop the evidence into a special Scamnesty mail box at Tewkesbury Borough Council Offices.
It is one of a number of such boxes set up around the county by Trading Standards.
Roger Marles, head of Trading Standards at Gloucestershire County Council said: "Our service regularly receives enquiries about prize draw mailings and other scams.
While a lot of people have come to recognise them many more fall prey to these exploitative mailings.
"By sharing our information with the Office of Fair Trading we hope to have a real impact on preventing them."
