TEWKESBURY Town Crier, Mike Keen-Price is devastated after getting one of his cries wrong.
Last weekend he was shouting about post office closures, and included Kemerton in the list of local offices to be closed.
He has now been informed by postmistress Kim Maber that this is not so, and would like to offer her his profuse apologies.
"I take my town crying very seriously, and feel awful that I got it wrong," he said.
Mrs Maber said: "He was trying to help, but it caused us a lot of problems.
"We are in the Worcester area and will not know until May which offices are threatened with closure."
