A WIDE range of community issues came under the spotlight at a Day of Action held in Bishop's Cleeve.
Representatives from agencies including Tewkesbury Borough Homeless Advice, Severnvale Housing, the Department for Works and Pensions and the Fire and Rescue Service were at the local primary school, with help and advice.
At the same time police were out checking vehicles.
A high tech number plate recognition system provided by the DVLA helped police check out over 2,500 vehicles, 42 of which had no tax and six were without insurance.
Speed checks were carried out in the Bishop's Cleeve and Southam areas and high visibility cycle patrols were carried in Woodmancote, Cleeve and Stoke Orchard areas.
PC Timothy Cuthbert said: "The day was a great opportunity for us to get out into the community and find out the real issues that are bothering local people.
By working with partner agencies we are now able to move forward and act upon what we have learned and improve not only on the policing of the area, but also the welfare of those living there."
