A DISPLAY, explaining the background to the Islam religion has gone up in the foyer of Tewkesbury Library.
It has been set up by the Birmingham based Ahmadujya Muslim Association.
They also want to donate books on the subject to the library.
Spokesman Dr Mohammad Astrof said the idea of the display, which has been set up in number of libraries in the area, is to give people first hand information about Islam.
"We want to improved community relations and prove that you can achieve a lot more in life through peace than through war.
"The word Islam means peace, and we believe in love for all and hatred for none, so the terrorists are not truly Muslims," he said.
A book left by the display for messages has two welcoming it and one saying that it is not wanted.
