Woman hurt in motorway crash

A WOMAN was seriously injured in an accident near Tewkesbury at the weekend.
The accident occurred on the M50 between Junctions 1 and 2 at 9pm on Sunday.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival at the scene, crews found a car that had left the motorway, been in collision with the embankment and rolled over."
The woman was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital in Coventry - the only one in the region where helicopters can land at night - with serious head, chest, pelvic and arm injuries.
