PUPILS from Alderman Knight School saved the bacon of two ginger piglets during a visit to Cotswold Farm Park.
They were enjoying a trailer tour of the farm when they noticed the piglets, which had escaped from their compound and reported their find to the manager The children, all aged from 7-11 also met chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs, watched a cow being milked and made their way through the Cotswold Maze.
Their visit was arranged by the voluntary Cotswold Wardens, who accompanied the children and their teacher on their trip.
Teacher Hanna Silverthorne said: "It was a real eye opener for our children, they'll be talking about it none stop for weeks."
Warden's spokesman Robin Cochrane said "We are delighted to offer this service , which we call Kids Out, to give youngsters with special needs hands on contact with live animals."
