Visitors to the John Moore Museum in Church Street will get a fascinating glimpse into everyday life in Tudor England.
The Tudor Tradeswomen will be in residence and visitors will be able to find out for themselves just how a fleece becomes a piece of material, and why spices were so expensive.
They will also be able to listen to Mistress Elizabeth Spencer's exotic travels in search of rare spices and talk to the apothecary about cures which could include buttered spiders or a mouse skull as well as the more usual herbs.
The Tudor Tradeswomen will be at the John Moore Museum in Church Street on Saturday August 16 from 10am to 1pm and 2 -5pm.
