Gloucestershire Police are appealing for drivers who may have witnessed a police pursuit in which stolen items were thrown from a vehicle, to contact them.
Between 1.30pm and 2.10pm on Thursday October 22 unknown offenders forced entry to two homes in Church End, Twyning near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire and stole two laptops, a number of watches and items of jewellery and an amount of cash.
The offenders also stole a grey Toyota from one of the addresses, which was later found in a lay-by on the A38 near Ripple.
They then left the area along the M5 northbound in a red Volvo saloon, which was pursued by police officers from West Mercia Police into the Birmingham area. During the pursuit a number of the stolen items were discarded from the car as it drove along the Hagley Road in Birmingham.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the driver or passengers in the car dispose of the property from the vehicle along this route.
