TEWKESBURY Borough stakeholders have been invited to a special event this week to create and agree a vision for a Tewkesbury town centre Masterplan.
Following on from recent public consultation, this is an opportunity for invited groups and organisations to contribute towards a vision for the centre of Tewkesbury.
The event, which is being held at the Tewkesbury Borough Council offices tomorrow (21) from 12 noon, is being co-ordinated by Vision TwentyOne, which specialise in research and consultation, with support from the CABE, the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment.
Representatives from both the private and public sector have also been invited to the event including from the Environment Agency, Gloucestershire Highways, Friends of the Earth, Severn Trent and local flood groups.
A workshop will involve stakeholders taking part in a mental mapping process, an inspirational presentation by CABE and identifying points for change in Tewkesbury.
Joint chairman of the Masterplan’s Community Engagement Advisory Group, Dave Witts, said: “This is an important event for the masterplanning process because each of the organisations being represented plays an important part in Tewkesbury’s make-up - their views are vital.”
