Police are reminding people never to disclose their personal financial details after a man was targeted recently.
He had his wallet stolen whilst working and later the same day received a phone call from a man claiming to be from his bank.
The caller informed him his bankcards had been stolen and asked him to confirm his pin number, which he did. A short time later he discovered two transactions had been made from his account.
Police Sgt Mark Stevens said: "Legitimate banking organisations will never ask you to divulge personal information such as your pin number."
