Family and friends of 19-year-old Kyle Summerall, who died when his car hit a wall on Friday night, have paid tribute to him from across the world.
He was on his way to visit his parents in Kingston Road when the Renault Clio he was driving left the road, destroying a street light and 10ft of wall.
The stretch of wall alongside Sallis Close, Northway where the accident happened is lined with bunches of flowers and messages, and his parents, Michelle and Clayton have received more than 100 cards.
His father said: "I don't think there is a person in Tewkesbury under 45 who did not know him. He had a heart of gold and was always smiling - what I would call a real diamond geezer."
There are people coming from Thailand and America for the funeral which is being held at St Nichols Church, Ashchurch on Monday at a time to be arranged.
"When I mentioned this to someone they said: `That's him, his arms right round the world'", added Mr Summerall.
Kyle had worked with his father as a builder since leaving Tewkesbury School. He lived with his girlfriend Debbie Burrows at Mitton.
He had a seven-year-old brother Joshua and a sister, Kara, 15.
His pet bull terrier Blade was in the car with him at the time of the accident, and escaped unhurt.
He is now being looked after by the family.
"Blade went everywhere with him, he even came to work with us every day - he just keeps wandering around looking for him," said Mr Summerall.
The accident happened at about 9.15pm. Police want anyone who witnessed it to call 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 567 of October 5.
