The annual Tewkesbury mop fair brought its usual brand of colour, fun and chaos to the town, then disappeared as quickly as it arrived.
It was officially opened at 6pm on Monday by the town mayor Peter Aldridge and borough mayor Mike Sztymiak, with the mayors of Gloucester and Cheltenham as their guests who all enjoyed an inaugural ride on the dodgems.
The streets and Spring Gardens car park were packed with people enjoying everything from the scary `Freak Out' which lifted them high above the ground, spinning them in all directions, to the charming Disney tea-cups.
A rainstorm on Monday evening brought the fun to a slightly early end, but it all started again at 6pm the following day.
By midnight most of the rides were packed down and as people set out for work on Wednesday morning there was no sign they had ever been there.
Police inspector Brian Murnaghan said there were no major problems and "everything had gone really well".
