Alzheimer’s Society is calling on Gloucestershire residents to sign up for Memory Walk , the charity’s annual fundraising event.
The Gloucester Memory Walk takes place on Sunday, September 16, in the beautifully landscaped grounds of the 17th Century house, Highnam Court. Participants can choose between a 1 mile, 5 mile or 10 mile walk. Each walk will meander around the exquisite gardens, with the longest route stretching out to the surrounding countryside and Highnam Woods.
The money raised will help support people with dementia and their carers in your area.
Well known faces walking at the event include TV and radio presenter Chris Serle, best known for presenting That's Life alongside Esther Rantzen. A variety of entertainment and refreshments will be available.
This year’s Memory Walk is taking place in partnership with Bupa Care Homes. Together, Alzheimer’s Society and Bupa aim to support more people living with dementia through the vital funds that are raised.
Walkers can sign up to take part by visiting memorywalk.org.uk or come along and register on the day before 11am.
