A CHIPPING Campden man will face a robbery charge alongside rock star Bryan Ferry's son, Otis - a court heard.
John Deutsch, 55, of Ebrington Farm, was granted unconditional bail at Gloucester Crown Court where he was charged with robbing fox hunt monitors Helen Ghalmi and Susan Grima of a camera during a meeting of the Heythrop Hunt, near Stow, on November 21.
He also faced charges of affray and common assault on both women.
Judge William Hart adjourned Deutsch’s case, for a plea and directions, to a hearing on March 9 that will tie in with Ferry's next appearance.
The judge said Deutsch admits presence and causing some damage but denies robbery.
Otis Ferry, 26, from Eaton Mascott, Shropshire, joint master of the South Shropshire Hunt, is also accused of robbing Helen Ghalmi of a camera and assaulting her in November 2007.
Ferry was due to face trial on these charges in September 2008 but allegations surfaced that he told his former groomsman, David Hodgkiss, not to testify against him.
His trial was stopped and he was arrested and charged with acts intended to pervert the course of justice.
Ferry spent four months in custody awaiting trial on all charges but was granted bail, last month, on stringent conditions.
He must live with his mother in London and is not allowed to go to Shropshire.
Kerry Barker, prosecuting, told the court no trial date had yet been fixed for Ferry and police investigations were still ongoing with other people arrested in connection with the case.
