CHILDREN and adults alike made time to play at Evesham Adventure Playground in support of a national campaign.
More than 40 children had their faces painted, took part in forest school activities and built dens as part of National Playday earlier this month, which is a lottery-funded initiative celebrating children’s right to play.
Linzi White, inclusion officer playworker at the playground, said: “It’s very important children get time to let their hair down.
“The playground isn’t school and isn’t home so they haven’t got the rules they might have to usually follow.
“It’s somewhere for the children to be themselves.”
County councillor Bob Banks and Gail Quinton, director of children’s services at Worcestershire County Council, also turned out to support the event.
