You may well be wondering what the evening white lining works on the Evesham By-pass are all about.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen wonder no more, I have discovered the answer. They are installing a “Porsche Lane”

Yes, I know it sound implausible but I have seen it in action on several occasions already. In the mornings when the other traffic is waiting patiently for their turn at the round-a-bout, a Porsche with seemingly little regard for its own safety or that of others comes careering along the “Porsche Lane” as if it is his own personal space.

The trouble is I’m not too sure that it is the same car each time, which could mean one of two things. Either Chummy has two of them, which is bad enough. He’ll be out in the spare once he’s bent the first one. Or there is another Porsche driver endowed with a similar amount of intelligence.

It’s all a bit of a shame really, I’m sure the Highways Dept are spending our money in the misplaced belief that they are doing something to improve road safety! Ho-Hum!
