The letter from Ric Pirson 'This is just not on, sports' in the Journal, Thursday, January 28, 2010 about the 'Porche Lanes' on the by-pass was most applicable. On the previous day, Wednesday, when travelling from Twyford end of the by-pass I was overtaken by (what looked like a 'boy racer') a Black Mini Cooper. Again, this morning, Saturday, on the same stretch of road, just before lunch, a small white Peugeot van flew past. Both in the hatched section. Hence one must not assume that this lane is the soul preserve of the Porche idiots, it is now open to boy racers in Mini's and White Van Man. In both instances we were travelling quite nicely at 50mph in a long line of traffic. Where are our 'boy's in blue' when needed? Not I hope giving some poor motorist a ticket for blowing his nose whilst stopped at the traffic lights as reported this last week on the news, and he was fined £60 plus three points on his licence. Diabolical I say!
