Stop overtaking

How often have I heard that after a serious collision involving death the problem is caused by a ‘dangerous road’, (article Journal, July 22, page 9).

I have yet to witness a dangerous road whereas I am constantly witnessing drivers who carry out dangerous moves on our roads.

Mr Bloom, whilst no doubt an expert in his field, seems to be blaming the Sedgeberrow bypass for the recent accident. His solution seems to be the addition of speed cameras. I am not so sure that an enforced reduction in speed would stop the passing on this road (and the Evesham bypass) when traffic is moving in both directions resulting in three vehicles to be occupying what is basically a single carriageway road.

I’m sorry but until this practice is ceased there will be other similar events.
