Then I recalled your Journal report of June 4 ‘First steps for square revamp’, which quoted proposals to remove that tree and the market from the square. I was very impressed with the level of service provided by the volunteer staff there. They worked out the cheapest way for us to travel (which as far as we are concerned saved us over £10) and at every station we stopped and they were so very helpful and very friendly too. It was a brilliant day out.
