  TO the lady and gentleman who came to my assistance in Evesham last Saturday. Thank you so much for getting me off the busy road and back on my feet and then taking me back to family. We feel we
  didn’t have the opportunity to thank you properly. I was badly bruised and have broken my wrist but without your kind help it could have been much worse.

  One of the letters on your letters page once intimated that there was not much point in writing to an MP or letters written in protest as in the Long Marston proposed Eco Town, as one would only
  receive a stereotyped reply acknowledging your letter and not much more.

  Walking through the sun-drenched Market Square I noticed half a dozen people enjoying the shade of the magnificent Plane tree with its comfortable seat surround. Then I recalled your Journal report
  of June 4 ‘First steps for square revamp’, which quoted proposals to remove that tree and the market from the square. The iconic phrase ‘revamp my’ came to mind, sorry I forgot the last bit but
  never mind, t’was something to do with donkeys!

  Sunday, June 7, I took my family, my father-in-law &#40;who is wheelchair bound) and dog to visit Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway at Toddington. I was very impressed with the level of service
  provided by the volunteer staff there. They worked out the cheapest way for us to travel &#40;which as far as we are concerned saved us over £10) and at every station we stopped and they were so very
  helpful and very friendly too. It was a brilliant day out.

  I was most pleased to see the art work of Peter Hodge’s paintings in the empty shop front of OHL. Wonderful paintings by a very talented local artist. Please lets have more artists work brighten up
  our towns empty shops.

           <description>
  As the 'Commons Catastrophe' continues, it is little wonder that everybody feels cheated by our politicians. The most common phrase right now is &quot;they're all tarred with the same brush&quot; and with
  all of the main political parties being involved in some form or another, that's fair comment.
