PLANNERS have taken the unusual step of banning deliveries to a construction site during certain hours.
They have approved an application for new detached house and garage in Gander Lane, Tewkesbury.
The lane is widely used by pupils walking and cycling to and from Tewkesbury school and in response to concerns raised by headmaster John Reilly, they agreed to make it a condition of their approval that construction traffic should not be allowed to deliver to the site between the hours of 8and 9am and 3 and 4pm.
Planning committee chairman, John Evetts said; "I do not think we have ever used a condition like this before."
