Parking role changes hands
OFFICERS from Bishop's Cleeve Safer Communities team have spent a day with borough council traffic wardens, patrolling the streets of the village, to get a greater understanding of how each of them works.
The borough council recently took over responsibility for enforcing parking regulations and the day saw representatives from both groups working together to find out how each carries out its duties.
Local PCSO Farah Devi said: "The day was a great success.
"We were able to spend some part of our day explaining to locals how the new system works and why it is necessary in the village.
Traffic warden Sam Lynch said: "It was interesting to discover jut how supportive our respective organisations can be, which can only be of benefit to the community as a whole.
