POLICE are appealing for information after a man asked two girls into his car in Tewkesbury.

The incident happened in York Road at about 4pm on Saturday, January 11, when a man in a dark red car approached two 12-year-old girls and asked them to get in the vehicle.

The man is described as white, in his 50s, wearing a dark beanie hat and reading glasses.

The girls ran away and the man drove off in the direction of Queen's Road.

Anyone with information on this case should call 101, quoting incident 275 of January 11.

Meanwhile in another incident, a man asked a girl to get into his car in Northway Lane at about 5.15pm on Thursday, January 16.

The 15-year-old girl was walking along Northway Lane when the driver of a silver saloon car pulled up alongside her and asked if she wanted a lift.

She refused the offer and the car drove off.

The driver is described as white, male and with a local accent.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 327 of January 16.
