Cathedral service for Mothering Sunday

A SPECIAL service will be held at Gloucester Cathedral in celebration of Mothering Sunday.

The Very Reverend Stephen Lake, Dean of Gloucester, is inviting everyone to bring someone with them to the service on Sunday at 10.15am .

He said “This could be a mother, grandmother, godmother or friend. Join us to share your love and gratitude for the special person in your life.”

The Cathedral Junior Choir made up of boys and girls aged seven to 13 will be singing alongside the boys of the Cathedral Choir and the service will end with the presentation of flowers to all the mums who attend.

Following this special service at 11.45am the Cathedral Junior Choir will perform a short concert in the Chapter House which is free to attend.
