POLICE are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Tewkesbury.

At around 12.15am on Thursday February 18, three masked men entered a pub in Gloucester Road whilst staff were locking up. They tied up two members of staff, one male and one female, and stole their phones and bank cards. The male victim was punched in the head, causing minor injuries, and thousands of pounds were stolen from a safe before the men left the scene.

Detective Constable Bee Chant, the investigating officer, said: “We are treating this incident very seriously, which was distressing and traumatic for the two members of staff. Nobody has yet been arrested but enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.

“I urge anyone with information, no matter how small they think it may be, to come forward. We particularly want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time.”

To give information, call police on 101 quoting incident 6 of February 18.
