EVESHAM under 17s continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 22-3 win over Aston Old Edwardians in the North Midlands Cup first round.

The hosts dominated the first-half, in particular the forwards who secured the ball well in the set-piece and the loose.

Mike Harris crashed over and added the conversion before Wilf Watson scored a try with an Aston penalty making it 12-3 at the break.

Evesham’s poor discipline spilled over into the second-half but playerof- the-match Henry Murray and Watson added further tries.

Jack Richardson was player-of-the-match for Evesham under 14s as they went down 41-12 at home to Camp Hill.

They led 12-5 at half-time through tries from Ryan Scarrott and Lewis Cochrane as the pack dominated.

The under 13s beat Redditch 14-12 after falling 12-0 behind early in the second-half.

Will Sharpe scored the try of the season after good work from Zeke Evans, player-of-thematch Will Bugg and Harry Dyers. Evans bagged the winning try, which again involved Sharpe and Bugg, to maintain their 100 per cent home record.

Meanwhile, Evesham under 16s need new players and anyone interested can call head coach Tim Perry on 07751- 932610.
