BROADWAY hosted their annual joint captains’ charity am-am with 33 teams of four competing.

The resounding winners of the cut glass and wine with 89 points were Broadway’s Graham Tweny and Mark Walters, Darren Baker and David Skipsy from The Vale.

Second with 88 were home players Gerry O’Hagan, Paul Wragby, Ted Fila and Andy Lloyd.

Cash raised on the day will be shared by St Richard’s Hospice and the British Heart Foundation with £2,600 raised so far through a raffle and silent auction.

The final English Golf qualifying medal of the season brought 28 Broadway ladies out to play.

In the Silver Division, Rachel Rigg came in with 76 nett to take first place with Lin Everitt (78) second.

Everitt did well to achieve the lowest gross with 92.

Rhiannon Gadsby-Evans was first in the Bronze Division with 73 nett followed by Sue Jackson (74).
