EVESHAM United Robins Under 14s recorded two victories in a week, including seeing off a Dutch touring side.

They beat VV Lekvogels 3-1 in mid-week with goals from Dom Taylor, Tom Leonard and Tom Backx.

Dan Tustin and William Warren were outstanding in the middle of midfield.

Unbeaten Robins then beat Charlton Rovers Reds 4-1 in Cheltenham Youth League Division One thanks to a first-half Leonard hat-trick.

Tustin missed a penalty but Ben Ainsworth was on target to complete the scoring in the second period.

  • Evesham United Swifts Girls Under 11s beat their Hawks counterparts 5-0 in the Mercian Festival Junior League with Ella Curry bagging a first-half treble.

Hawks goalkeeper Becky Brown impressed but she could not prevent Anja Seymour scoring a stunning goal after receiving the ball in her own half before Erin Murphy completed the tally.

  • Under-strength Badsey Rangers went down 3-0 to Westbury Celtic Spartans in Ambassador Evesham League Under 12s Pool ‘C’.

The hosts were not short of spirit and played well with Owain Hann and Bennie Holyland close to putting them on the scoresheet.
