BREDON Star under 11s defied the muddy conditions to beat Stratford-upon-Avon 40-14 with a powerful display.

A big drive from their forwards allowed Brad Stubbs to score the first try of the day before the villagers held off some pressure.

Hamish Hay, captain Freddie Thomas and Matt Oliver added further tries as big tackles and intelligent kicking allowed Bredon to wrestle control.
