Wenham is golden race ace

TEENAGE talent Zoe Wenham has secured the British Women Racing Drivers’ Club’s Elite Gold Stars Award.
The 18-year-old from Kemerton raced a 370bhp Ginetta G50 in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship GT4 class last year.
She claimed podiums in six races with three seconds and three thirds, finishing vicechampion to be the most successful female in the competition’s history.
Wenham said: “I am delighted and honoured to have won the Gold Stars. This gets my season off to a great start.
“It was made even more special as it was presented to me by ex-Formula One driver and World Sportscar champion Derek Warwick, who is the British Racing Drivers’ Club president.”
Wenham will work with Susie Wolff, the new Williams F1 test driver, as her mentor for 2013 and aims for the GT4 title.
