Scratch league success for Vale ladies
PROMOTED PLAYERS: Vale’s successful Inter-County Scratch League team are (left to right) Rosie Shufflebotham, Shelagh Inglis, Angela Catlin, Rosie Loh, Deb Smith, Wendy Towers, Sally Smith and Lyn Robinson.
The Vale ladies gained promotion in the Inter-County Scratch League after convincingly winning Midlands Division Six. Five women, captained by Rosie Loh, played other teams from Beau Desert, Olton, Walmley and Ashbourne but now have new opponents to look forward to. Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire all provide teams for the competitive league.
