ALL four of Broadway’s new captains performed their inaugural drive-in. Despite the cold, a large crowd turned out to see club captain Micheal Lindner take his first tee shot of the year.

His superb drive was followed by Sonia Ward (ladies), Peter Braithwaite (seniors) and Sam Ellson (juniors).

In the Lady Captain’s New Year Alliance, teams of three competed in the stableford over 16 holes.

With two scores to count on every hole, Julia Fortescue, Rachel Rigg and Nadine Simpkin were first with 69 points. Second with 68 were Pam Hooper, Pat Righton and June Griffin.
