BADSEY Rangers distanced themselves from Tewkesbury Town Pumas in the Ambassador Evesham League Under 12s Pool ‘C’ table with an 8-2 success.
Badsey charged into a 4-1 lead at half-time through goals from Owain Hann (2), John Barradell and Matt Child.
With keeper Adam Ballard and his defence impressing, the scoreline was repeated in the second period thanks to Hann completing his hattrick alongside strikes from Tom Linley (2) and Ryan Keyte.
- Second-placed Evesham United were happier after a 0-0 draw at leaders Nunnery Wood Colts in Cheltenham Youth League Under 14s Division One.
Defences were on top with Evesham’s Ed Bagley, Jo O’Hara, Jack Rogers and Tariq Lamb excelling.
Jake Humphries, Dan Tustin and Ryan Reeves shone in midfield, while Bradley Izod, Tom Leonard and Jonathon Robinson also worked hard.
Hannah Campbell scored a double hat-trick as Evesham United beat Coundon Court 8-3 in the Central Warwickshire Girls’ League Under 18s Premier Division.
Fellow striker Zoe Pygott and midfielder Hannah Lowerson were also on target in a fine team display for United who host Starlands St Anne’s on Saturday (10.30 am).
The title-chasers then beat Dosthill Colts 5-1 with Pygott (2), Kelly Fowkes and Sophie Griffiths (2) netting.
