Harvington mark superb season

HARVINGTON celebrated promotion to Worcestershire League Division Two at their awards night.

The first team finished runners-up in Division Three to Cookley.

Andrew Fisher (376 league runs) and Jaimen Rudd (league average of 31) jointly won the firsts’ batting award.

The bowling accolade went to Jo Venter (49 wickets at an average of 11). The seconds finished mid-table with Mark Onens winning the batting gong with an average of 26 and Jethro Chadwick the bowling award with 24 wickets at 11.88.

Fraser Goodlad scored his maiden century and Dave Moulson took 22 league wickets.

The young player of the year was Tom Heywood who joined Harvington last season.

He was a consistent Saturday seconds performer, taking 27 wickets.

The clubman of the year was Steve Shepherd for his efforts as groundsman.
