BENGEWORTH Dons lifted their first piece of Wychavon Sports Quiz silverware since joining the league last term.

They pipped Elmley Castle on a tie-break in the League Cup which involved all nine teams and hosts Evesham United.

With handicaps applied, Evesham Casuals led for four rounds until holders Elmley CC staked a claim.

But Martin Husbands and his team lifted the trophy after a countback without handicaps was needed.
