CHIPPING Norton Rugby Club pursue silverware on Saturday when they meet Marlborough in the Southern Counties Senior Vase final.

The Cotswold outfit, who are second in the Berks/ Bucks and Oxon Premier Division, host the match at Burford Road (2pm).

They are hoping for a good crowd to cheer them on following their 38-22 semi-final success at Maidenhead-based Phoenix last month.

Chippy have not played since January 12 when they hammered Aylesbury Athletic 72-17 in the league.

Wiltshire-based Marlborough are only fourth in Dorset and Wiltshire Division One North due to a 25- point deduction for administrative errors after 12 wins and two defeats from 14 fixtures.

They beat Minety 39-0 on Saturday and won 44-3 at Hungerford in their cup semi-final in December.
