EVESHAM host Rugby Lions in the National Under 17s Cup Midlands quarter-finals on Sunday (11am).

Meanwhile, the under 13s’ match with Kidderminster Carolians at Evesham High School was abandoned due to an injury to a visitors’ player.

Evesham were 7-5 down but showed improved teamwork, commitment, handling and execution.

Will Bugg scored their single try ahead of Sunday’s visit to Claverdon.

The under nines continued their good form as Evesham Maroons and Greens won 7-1 on tries and drew 5-5 at Kidderminster Carolians respectively.

Maroons and Greens then both recorded 7-4 victories before Evesham secured a single-try victory in a game of 10-a-side. Will Gilderson was player-of-the-day.

For the under eights at Kidderminster, Tigers lost 12-9 and 10-9 and drew 9-9, while Lions triumphed 6-5 and 10-8 but also lost 7-6.

Dexter Shears, Abi Lacy, Owen Bates, player-of-theday Max Mulder, Lottie Gilderson, Will Farr, Sam Swayne and Ben Jones were all among the tries for Tigers.

Player-of-the-day Freddie Sharpe, Laurie Checkley, Rowan Snell, Ronan Dooey, Edward Thompson, Edward Cook and Dan Lee scored for Lions.

The under sevens joined them with a 6-4 victory and 8-7 loss with Harry Wycherley bagging five tries alongside efforts from Cameron Robbins, Cameron Brydon, Felix Hyett, Luke Tegg and Nick Bell.
