Midlands win for Pershore pair

TWO rising Pershore club starlets won at the Independent Association of Private Schools Midlands Championships.

Isabella Woodcock and Naomi Marsden, who attend years five and six respectively at King’s Hawford Worcester, both finished first in their age groups in Warwick.

Woodcock recorded a new 25-metre breaststroke personal best of 20.18 seconds and Marsden another pb in the 50m backstroke in 38.48.

They are confident their wait for an invite to the national championships at Crawley, on May 11 will be short. Woodcock hopes to build on her bronze medal won last year.
