TWENTY-two Bourton Roadrunners ran the Cirencester Park 10-kilometre race in perfect conditions.
The race was a pre-marathon sharpener for Mike Smith ahead of his visit to Bucharest, Romania, as he finished 10th overall and second male veteran over 40 in 34 minutes 48 seconds.
Dennis Walmsley was 16th and first male over 50 in 36.53 followed by Darren Long (37.57) and Ewen Smith (38.25).
Shona Crombie-Hicks was fourth lady and first female over 35 in 39.42, while Andy Peaston clocked 40.09, Mike Hobbs 40.56, third senior lady Steph Lane 41.42, third female over 45 Niamh Shoemark 42.50 and John Gibson 43.11.
Ali Lane continued her fine season by winning the women’s over 55s prize in 45.01 and the consistent Steph Holton finished in 46.39.
Susan Hunt had a personal best of 46.56 after being ill in a previous race and then being taken off the course in an ambulance in another.
Brian Hulcup ran 47.27, Graham Lane 47.39, Chris Dry 49.02, Dave Pyne 50.21, Liz Hulcup 51.03, Lynn Hudson 54.25 and Norm Lane 58.58.
Shirley Creed paced Pam Parton to a sub-hour finish as they crossed the line triumphantly in 58.58 and 58.57 respectively.
