MORE than 100 cars took part in the Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation’s Throckmorton Challenge.
Held at RAF Pershore, the event was a qualifying round of the HERO Cup, in association with EFG International, and the final round of the Historic Rally Car Register’s (HRCR) Clubman Championship.
The competition saw cars built before 1984 taking part in 15 driving tests.
Howard Warren and Ryan Pickering were the winners on the day in their 1965 Porsche 911 Coupe, followed by John Ruddock and Andy Pullan in their 1972 Ford Escort Mexico.
The event was preceeded 24 hours earlier by a training and briefing day, attended by over 30 novice drivers and navigators.
