ASHTON-under-Hill went clear in the Worcestershire Cricket Board Indoor League Evesham Division title race with a comfortable win over Redditch.

The town side were dismissed for 60 and Ashton romped home on 61-1 with six overs remaining.

After beating a below-par and weakened Redditch side, the villagers are almost out of sight at the top with all teams having three games left.

Redditch began with Jack Roberson and James Freeman looking to lay a foundation until the former was run-out with the score on 23.

Further wickets fell quickly, leaving Redditch on 24-3 after six overs.

Matt Harvey was last man standing in the 12th over until run-out for 27.

Ashton knocked off the runs with only a minor scare as Will Archer (29 not out) was given the benefit of an lbw decision, leaving Richard Cooper 25no.

Evesham Casuals conceded against The Boxmen as they were unable to field a side.
