Tewkesbury Admag: Senatore ruled out for rest of the season Senatore ruled out for rest of the season

ARGENTINIAN back-rower Leonardo Senatore will play no further part in Worcester Warriors’ Aviva Premiership relegation battle.

The Pumas international suffered a dislocated shoulder at Harlequins and has had surgery on the injury which will rule him out for the rest of the campaign.

Senatore has made 12 appearances since joining Warriors in the summer and struggled with discipline at times, picking up three yellow cards in his last seven games. Young winger Dean Hammond is also set for more than a month on the sidelines after tearing his hamstring in the 21-20 defeat at The Stoop.

Director of rugby Dean Ryan said: “Leo’s injury is obviously pretty serious, he had an operation recently and will miss the remainder of the season.

“Dean will be out for four to six weeks, but we will have Andy Symons back soon and he is set to play for the Cavaliers tonight – he could force his way into contention.”

Another player selected for Cavaliers’ clash with the Army at Sixways (7.30pm) is new prop signing from Leicester, Jerome Schuster, who could be important with Ryan short of options at tighthead.

Rob O’Donnell is the only other fit number three with Euan Murray away on Six Nations duty with Scotland and John Andress struggling with a neck problem.

Ryan added: “It’s difficult for those who play for the Cavaliers tonight to force their way in at this stage, but that’s not to say there aren’t some spaces. The game is a chance for Jerome to play, so we could have a look at him.

“We only have one fit tighthead here, so he has come in to help us out.

“If there is something there we see against the Army, then it potentially throws him in the mix to face Wasps.”

Meanwhile, Josh Goodhue, the younger brother of Warriors number eight Cam, is in the Cavaliers squad tonight on the bench with Ryan eager to give him the chance to impress.

He said: “Josh is very well thought of in New Zealand, but he’s over here with his brother and is someone we have real interest in being involved with us.

“The lad has a decent reputation, is young and it would be great if he gets a chance to have game time.”
