LITTLETON won the Bank Holiday Monday derby 2-0 at Pershore Town through a Jamie Insall brace.

The hosts were missing numerous players through injury and unavailability in the St Mary's Hospice Midland Combination Premier Division clash.

It showed as the 11th-placed visitors proved worthy winners with Insall tapping in Kyonn Evans' cross-shot from close range on 22 minutes.

His second eight minutes before half-time was a volley inside the box as Littleton enjoyed the better chances.

Third-from-bottom Pershore’s best efforts came during a goalmouth scramble, while Richard Congrave went close with a shot and Steve Webb from a free-kick.

Both Vale sides lost at the weekend with Littleton going down 2-1 at home to Racing Club Warwick in a typical end-of-season game.

The hosts enjoyed the better of the first-half and Warwick improved in the second but the game hinged on two penalty appeals.

Littleton went ahead on 10 minutes through Evans after he raced clear onto Will Gayton's through-ball.

Alex Baird's volley was hacked clear and a fierce Simon Fitter free-kick resulted in a clear Warwick handball but no penalty was awarded.

Littleton hit the bar early in the second period through Adam Guest following another Fitter free-kick.

But the visitors won a penalty on 70 minutes for a harsh handball and it was duly converted by Jonathan Harkin.

Littleton then lost their way and Harkin scored again five minutes from time to win a bad-tempered clash.

They wrap up their league programme on Saturday at Pilkington XXX (3pm) and play in the Worcestershire FA Senior Urn final next Tuesday against Lye Town at Kidderminster Harriers (7.45pm).

Meanwhile, Pershore lost 3-1 at Alvis Sporting Club in the league last weekend despite taking a first-half lead through Mark Owen.

The hosts replied with three goals in a 15-minute second-period spell.
