A QUALITY batting performance from Nick Holland was the key to Dumbleton's success over Stone on Saturday.
The visitors were asked to bat in ideal bowling conditions and, despite losing four early wickets, Holland stuck around and kept the scoreboard ticking over.
As the innings progressed he was able to score more freely and received support from Giles Lancaster and Tom Green only to fall ten runs short of ma deserved century as Dumbleton posted a competitive score of 164.
Paul Englebrecht (5-55) and Tom Green (3-26) then ripped through Stone's top order with five wickets tumbling in the first eight overs.
Despite some brave resistance from the lower order, Stone were eventually bowled out for 130.
Dumbleton also won the second team fixture as a century from Craig Sharp and 74 from Graham Piesse enabled them to amass 251 which was always out of reach for the visitors.
Mark Elliot picked up four wickets as Stone were bowled out for 189.
Dumbleton progressed to round three of the npower Village Cup the next day when Gloucestershire group opponents Old Down were unable to raise a team.
