EVESHAM Wheelers’ Steven Goodbier set a new course personal best of 23 minutes seven seconds at Worcester St John’s 10-mile time trial at Severn Stoke.

Tracy Dresch was part of a strong field of 75 riders, including junior world champion Lucy Garner, who lined up for the Banbury Star road race.

Coping with poor weather conditions and three visits to the notorious 14 per cent climb up Edge Hill, Dresch held her own to finish a creditable 49th.
