EVESHAM girls brought home medals from the Worcester County Relay Championships in Gloucester.

Chloe Golding, Molly Hardwick, Katie Wright and Chloe Mabbett formed the one team from the club to enter and they did Evesham proud.

In the 13 to 14 year 4x50- metre freestyle relay, they scooped a silver medal after only being denied by Stourbridge.

Golding put the team in a good position after the first leg with a personal best time of 29.76 seconds.

Hardwick kept the performance up with a pb of 30 seconds before Wright clocked 31 and Mabbett gained two places for Evesham by beating her own record with a time of 28.8.

They then finished third in the 4x50m medley relay with Hardwick swimming backstroke, Mabbett breaststroke, Golding butterfly and Wright freestyle.

Hardwick touched home in fifth place before Mabbett gained a place and Golding put the team into third spot.

Wright maintained the position and, despite only two swims, the girls finished seventh out of the girls’ teams overall in their age group.
