ANGLERS from across Europe are set to take part in an event in Evesham.
Teams of six from Great Britain, France, Italy, Portugal, Luxembourg, Germany, Bulgaria, Russia, the Netherlands and Belgium will compete in the 11th USIC Angling Championships this month.
USIC is the international sports organisation for railway workers across Europe and organises events in many sports with the previous angling championship taking place in Poland in 2008.
A practice day takes place on Wednesday, September 12, on the River Avon, along with the first of the two competitions.
Both will take place on the Town Stretch and the water at Hampton Ferry.
The second day of competition will be held in Wolvey, Warwickshire on Friday, October 5.
